Job Description
As the Chief of Staff, you will have a crucial role in supporting the C-suite and driving strategic initiatives across various functional areas. This dynamic position involves managing the finance and accounting functions, collaborating with sales and marketing teams to support diverse initiatives, and supporting investor relationships and fundraising efforts. Additionally, you will support compliance and HR workstreams, ensuring seamless operations and adherence to regulatory standards.

This individual will report directly to the CEO and will be integral in executing high-impact projects and driving organizational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Oversee finance operations workstreams, including accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), payroll, and month-end-close
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and reports to provide the executive team with visibility into business performance
- Collaborate cross-functionally to create budgets and forecasts that align with strategic growth objectives
- Partner with the CEO on investor relations and fundraising activities
- Work alongside the VP of Marketing and external contractors to drive marketing campaigns and initiatives
- Support key compliance & HR initiatives, which will include working with the CIO on SOC 2 Type 2 compliance and supporting the hiring process across teams
Skills and Qualifications
- 1-5 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, or working in a finance and operations role. Startup experience is preferred
- Desire to work cross-functionally and support strategic initiatives across all parts of the business
- Experience working with Senior and C-level executives, with the ability to influence and drive initiatives
- Strong financial acumen with experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI development
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Quick learner who is excited about acquiring new skills and supporting a wide range of activities across the business
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proactive and results-driven approach
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment
Location
Being based in the greater Minneapolis area is preferred, but not required.
